Biography
My name is Han You (游晗). "晗" means sunrise in Chinese. It is not frequently-used and it sounds like the name of a girl, thus many people take it wrong when they knew me the first time :)
Currently, I am a senior student in the Department of Computer Science at the City University of Hong Kong. Before that, I graduated from Nan Chang No. 2 High School.
I was born in April 1997 at Feng Cheng, a small city in southeast region of China. When I was young, I always wanted to be an geographer or a historian, becuase I am always interested in them. I spent almost all my spare time on those history and geography books. Later on, when I started to learn about piano, I found it's also good to be a pianist, or at least, a piano teacher.
But my mind changed in the last year of primary school. At that time, I was nominated to join the national programming contest for primary students and learn about BASIC. I found it's really cool! In China, the mathematical problems in sixth grade are alreay very difficult. BASIC helped me a lot in solving those problems. However, I didn't have a computer at home, so I had to go to the computer room in my school every time I wanted to use BASIC.
After entering middle school, the workload became heavier. Finally, I said goodbye to programming and focused on achieving higher scores in different examinations. Luckily, I ranked 455th among around two hundred thousand students in JiangXi Province in 2014, which guaranteed me the admission to a good university. I chose City University of Hong Kong, of which the Computer Science and Electronic Engineering departments are of good reputation in Asia. After my foundation year in University, I chose computer science as my major. Finally, I can continue my dream of being a outstanding programmer.
I have widespread interests and keep curious about new stuffs, nice to meet you.
